OUR STORY
Howdy from Justin and the kick-ass Electric Ghost team! We're experts at creating unique designs and perfectly printed apparel, but it took years of hard work to get here.
Like so many artists, this origin story starts in the chaos of my late 20s. My friend and I found ourselves toying with the idea of starting a t-shirt business. Although we had countless ideas, life got busy, and we never saw it through. However, I couldn't shake the dream. I finally took the plunge in February 2016, researching screen printing, buying the equipment, taking classes, and watching countless YouTube videos. And *boom*, AR-T's was born!
Through years of trial and error, I mastered the craft of manually screen-printed textiles. Finally, I was able to pour my entrepreneurial spirit and my passion for fashion and art into AR-T's. The name AR-T's plays on both "art" and "Arkansas Tees," my two loves. Whether it's about the South, Arkansas, or our neighborhood of SOMA in Little Rock, you'll see that many of our favorite designs are silly, stylish, or impactful tributes to the places we love. In 2021, AR-T's merged with Electric Ghost Screen Printing, expanding our printing capabilities and opening our first brick-and-mortar shop. It was a long journey, but our amazing customers and supporters have made everything worth it. Whether we are bringing dreams to life with custom apparel from Electric Ghost or selling AR-T's merchandise in our retail space, we are passionate about creating livable art! As a queer-owned business in the South, we pride ourselves on creating designs that give a voice to minorities and promote diversity in a state that often does the opposite.
